  • Current instructor for COUN 549 Psychopharmacology: Responsible for teaching basic classifications, indications, and contraindications of commonly prescribed psychopharmacological medications. 

  • Teaching goals focused on increasing:

    • students' knowledge base of the common medications that affect learning, behavior, and mood 

    • students' understanding of neurobiological and medical foundations related to addiction and co-occurring disorders

    • students' skills in knowing how to refer to other medical providers and collaborate care within their scope 

    • student's awareness of the potential for substance use disorders to mimic and coexist with a variety of medical and psychological disorders.

  • Instructor for COUN 550 Couples and Sexuality: Responsible for teaching the physiological, psychological and social-cultural variables associated with sexual behavior, gender identity, psychosexual dysfunction, family dynamics and interpersonal trauma.

  • Currently providing DBT services and evidence based practices for depression, anxiety disorders, BPD, and other emotion dysregulation disorders and difficulties

  • Active member on Pacific DBT treatment team. Responsible for: leading mindfulness practices, triaging weekly team meetings, formulating case conceptualizations, providing constructive feedback and conducting psychoeducational presentations on topics relevant to working with our client's symptomology and diagnoses
